Tuberculosis testing in Pakistan

You must be tested for tuberculosis (TB) if you’re coming to the UK for more than 6 months and are a resident of Pakistan.
Your test must be from a clinic approved by the Home Office. Embassy will not accept a TB test certificate from a clinic they have not approved.
Those who doesn’t need to be tested
You won’t need a TB test if any of the following apply:
- You’re a diplomat accredited to the UK .
- You’re a returning UK resident and haven’t been away for more than 2 years .
- You lived for at least 6 months in a country where TB screening is not required by the UK, and you’ve been away from that country for no more than 6 months.

Does TB Test Cost Money ?
You will have to pay this fee yourself. The fee covers all diagnostic requirements. It does not cover treatment if TB is detected.
The following fees are physicians have been authorized by UK Home Office, effective from MAY 15th, 2025.
Exam and Tests :
- Physical Examination Fee – PKR 10,000 .
- Chest X-Ray Fee – PKR 14,320 for Lahore Centre Only.
- Chest X-Ray Fee – PKR 14,000 for rest of the Centres in Pakistan.
