UK PRE-DEPARTURE, TUBERCULOSIS DETECTION PROGRAMME .  

You must be tested for the tuberculosis if you’re coming to the UK for more than 6 months and are a resident of PAKISTAN. If your test shows that you don’t have TB, you’ll be given a certificate within 3 hours which is valid for 6 months.Include this certificate with your UK visa application. 

A). HOW TO GET AN ONLINE APPOINTMENT FOR TB TEST IN PAKISTAN :

B). Requirements for UK TB test :  

• Three Latest Passport Size Pictures with White Back Ground Only. ( Your ears have to be visible + Expression Should be neutral )
• Original Valid Passport + 2 Carbon-Copies of first 2 Pages .
• If you have already taken test,please bring old certificate(s) as well .
• Please bring the Postal Address andContact details of your UK based Sponser.
• Your mandatory Polio Health Certificate from any Ministry Of Health Approved   Government Hospital,nearest to your locality.
• If the x-ray is inconclusive, you may be asked to give a sputum sample. Sputum is the substance you bring up from your lungs when you cough.

Those who doesn’t need to be tested You won’t need a TB test if any of the following apply:

• You’re a diplomat accredited to the UK .
• You’re a returning UK resident and haven’t been away for more than 2 years .
• You lived for at least 6 months in a country where TB screening is not required by the UK, and you’ve been away from that country for no more than 6 months.

C). Does the UK TB test Cost money ?   Yes, there is a fee for TB screening. You will have to pay this fee yourself. The fee covers all diagnostic requirements. It does not cover treatment if TB is detected. The following fees are physicians have been authorized by UK Home Office, effective from July 8th, 2020. Payment for X-rays should be made to SCB in PAKISTAN.        Exam and Tests :

• Physical Examination Fee – PKR 11,000 .
• Chest X-Ray Fee – PKR 15,320 for Lahore Centre Only.
• Chest X-Ray Fee – PKR 15,000 for rest of the Centres in Pakistan.

Children :All children must see a clinician who’ll decide if they need a chest x-ray. Children under 11 will not normally have a chest X-ray. You must take your child to an Approved clinic and complete a health questionnaire. If the clinician decides your child doesn’t have TB they’ll give you a certificate. Include this certificate with your child’s UK visa application.   Pregnant Women :   You can choose:

• An X-ray with an extra shield to protect you and your unborn child in the 2nd and 3rd trimesters.
• A Sputum test (phlegm coughed up from your lungs) – there may be an extra fee and you could wait up to 8 weeks for results.
• To wait until after delivery

If you don’t want to be tested you can use an X-ray taken within the last 3 months at a UK-Approved Screening clinic. Ask a clinician to review your X-ray. If it’s accepted the clinician will give you a certificate to send with your UK visa application.
